Japan to spend over twenty million dollars to strengthen counter-terrorism efforts.

Japan’s foreign minister, says his country will spend one hundred and twenty million dollars to strengthen counter-terrorism efforts in Africa.

Fumio Kishida, told the UN Security Council, that the money would be used to strengthen information and data collection in Africa, improve border controls with cutting-edge technology and improve criminal justice enforcement among other things.

The money will also be used for human resource development, training some Thirty Thousand people between twenty-sixteen and twenty-eighteen.

Kishida made his remarks at a meeting of Security Council discussing peacebuilding in Africa.
