The League Management Company,LMC, has fined Heartland Football Club of Owerri over two million naira for its failure to provide security to control crowd during a league match played last Saturday against FC IfeanyiUbah at the Dan Anyiam Stadium last Saturday.
The LMC, also placed a two-point deduction on the club for hindering the complete video coverage of the game.
The Owerri- based side will also play its next three home league matches behind closed doors starting from the match against Nasarawa United.
Also, chairman of Heartland Football Supporters, Iyke Jacob, has also been banned from all league matches for the rest of the season.
The League body also directed the club to mark restricted areas and hold a workshop on good behaviors for its supporters as condition for re-opening the stadium to supporters.
