President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, yesterday urged the Nigerian delegation to the twenty- sixteen Rio Olympics to make the country proud by winning medals for the country.
Saraki spoke when he received the members of the Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria at the National Assembly.
Saraki, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanni Onogu, urged the private sector to contribute towards sustaining the growth of sports in the country.
Saraki, who received a letter appointing him as a Patron of the club from the delegation, wish the Team Nigeria best at Rio Olympics.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the club, Isaac Danladi, said the visit was aimed at advancing the course of football development in the country through total consolidation on the positives already achieved, also opening new pages in the system.
