The Technical and Development Committee of Nigeria Football Federation has recommended Gernot Rohr, to the Executive Board of the Nigeria Football Federation ,NFF, for appointment as Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles.
Its Vice Chairman, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, said the team was convinced that the former German defender was suitability for the job after a long session with him over the weekend.
Fresh, said the committee was impressed with Rohr’s profile and current activities for the German Football Federation (DFB), hence the reasons why he was invited to Nigeria for exhaustive deliberations.
He explained that Rohr was very positive as he showed great interest in the job and he was ready and willing to live in Nigeria unlike Paul Le Guen who declined to live in the nation.
He also pointed out that the Grman international, was willing to work with indigenous Nigerian coaches and with the committee, adding that Rohr believed the Super Eagles can qualify for the twenty-eighteen FIFA World Cup, which is very important to the NFF.
