Head coach of Nigeria’s Olympic team, Samson Siasia, says his team will continue to approach each match at a time in the ongoing football event of the ongoing Rio Twenty- Sixteen Olympic Games.
Siasia, made this statement when sports journalists covering the Game’s football event asked him if he would prefer to play the host country, Brazil or another Group A team, in the quarter-final stage.
Having secured maximum six points from victories against Japan and Sweden, the coach, said his attention was on the team’s last group match against Colombia as he was unperturbed about avoiding playing Brazil in the quarter final stage.
The coach, who resisted attack on his defenders who are being regarded as weak, said the team’s technical crew had psyched up and worked hard on the mistake committed by defenders after conceding four goals in the first group match against Japan, hence the reason why they did not conced a goal against Sweden.
An elated captain, Mikel Obi, said there had been a massive improvement from the team’s first group match against Japan as the squad’s second match against Sweden has shown that Nigeria had a chance of making impact at the football event.
