The newly employed technical adviser of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has signed a two year contract.
The ceremony which took place yesterday at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja saw President of Nigeria Football Federation,NFF, Amaju Pinnick and General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi signing on behalf of the Federation, in-between Mr. Rohr’s own signature.
Pinnick, said the two years agreement with the former German defender, who also coached top French club Girondins Bordeaux and elite Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel, was yo qualify the Super Eagles for the Twenty- Eighteen FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.
Rohr, who coached Gabon, Niger and Burkina Faso. said he was delighted to be the Super Eagles technical adviser, adding that it was a big challenge since Nigeria has quality football players who have the ability to excel internationally.
The German soccer tactician, is scheduled to embark on scouting immediately, which includes flying to Spain to watch the NPFL All-Stars play against Atletico Madrid and Malaga in Cadiz on Friday, in the Trofoe Carranza tournament.
