Head Coach of Nigeria’s Olympic team,Samson Siasia, has regarded the two- nil bashing of Denmark, which he described as a good team, in the football event, of the ongoing Rio Twenty- sixteen Olympic Games, as a good feat.
Siasia, who hailed the performance of team to reach the semi finals of the football event in the ongoing Rio Olympic Games, thanked God and his football players who according to him did a great job since the team’s technical crew were worried over the defense.
On the possibility of the African champions playing hosts Brazil in the final match, Siasia who admitted that the Brazilians were a good team, said he unperturbed about playing the his country as his major concern was the semi final clash against Germany.
Captain John Mikel Obi, who scored Nigeria’s first against the Danes, said he was not surprised that the team had been able to achieve the feat of reaching the semi final based on the quality of playing and coaching personnel.
He said the team’s priority was to win the gold medal , stressing that they would the approach one match at a time took each match
The team has flown back to São Paulo as NFF Technical Director, Coach Bitrus Bewarang has joined the team.
