FIFA Ranking : Nigeria moves up by 3 spots, now 64th.

Nigeria is now ranked sixty- fourth in the latest FIFA rankings released today for the month of September.

The nation, which was ranked sixty-seventh in the last FIFA rankings, has moved up three places.

With a slight improvement in the world ranking, the three-time African Cup of Nations winner, now occupies fourteenth position in Africa.

While, twenty-eighteen World Cup rivals Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia slipped in the ratings.

Zambia, who will host Nigeria next month in final round of the qualifying series for the World Cup, are now ninety-two in the world after they occupied ninety-one position in August.

Cameroon, who are also drawn against Nigeria in the World Cup qualifiers, dropped five places to fifty-nineth in the world.

Algeria slipped to thirty-fifth in the world and lost top spot in Africa to Cote d’Ivoire.
