The national coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Salisu Yususf, is optimistic that the team can qualify for the Russia Twenty- Eighteen FIFA World Cup.
Yusuf, who expressed his satisfaction with the performances of the Super Eagles players at their European clubs and other leagues, insisted that the nation had the world class football players who could help they team to win feature at the World’s soccer fiesta in Russia in Twenty- Eighteen
The former Enyimba and Kano Pillars coach, who is expected to sign a two-year contract with the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, this week, admitted that the group B battle will be tough considering the countries that were drawn along with Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the chief coach of Zambia national team, Wedson Nyirenda, has released a thirty- three man provisional list of football players for next month’s Russia Twenty- Eighteen FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The team captain Rainford Kalaba, top the list of invited players followed by veteran goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene, Collins Mbesuma and Stoppilla Sunzu.
The list is dominated by Zambia’s domestic league team, Zesco United, that have seven players in the squad.
The Chipolopolo will host the Super Eagles on Sunday, ninth of October 9 at the Levy Nwanawasa Stadium, Ndola.
