The technical crew of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, says the team will not under –rate any of the team competing in the Tentth edition of the Africa Women Cup of Nations, AWCON, which will kicks off on Saturday, Nineteenth of November.
The team Head coach, Florence Omagbemi, who made the statement, said Super Falcons woul approach the each match of the tournament seriously since other qualified teams want to defeat Nigeria.
The longest –serving captain of the Super Falcons was installed as Head Coach early this year and has already experienced triumph, steering the seven –time African champions past Senegal over two legs to earn them a spot in Cameroon.
Alongside other Falcons legends Ann Chiejine and Perpetua Nkwocha, Omagbemi has been able to restructure the squad that failed to qualify for the women’s football tournament of this year’s Olympics Games in Brazil and also lost to Cameroon and Cote d’Ivoire at the Eleventh All-Africa Games in Brazzaville last year.
After Sunday’s draw that housed the Falcons in Group B of the Tenth Africa Women Cup of Nations alongside Mali, Ghana and Kenya, ?Omagbemi, said the team would not relent in its effort to make the nation proud after failing to qualify for the women’s football event in the Rio Olympic Games.
Super Eagles will kick off its campaign against Mali at the Limbe Stadium on Sunday, Twentieth of November , before taking on the Black Queens three days later and Kenya on Saturday, twenty- sixth of November.
