As Nigerians across the world celebrate the nation’s fifty-sixth independence anniversary today, the Federal Government has outlined various developmental programmes that will revive the nation’s economy, restore the value of the naira and drive hunger from the land.
President Muhammadu Buhari said this in a national broadcast to mark Nigeria’s fifty-sixth Independence Anniversary, saying the programmes, would include constructions and rehabilitation of new roads, housing and power projects across the country.
Buhari said the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing had received one hundred and ninety-seven point five billion naira for the execution of some of the projects.
Speaking on the nation’s anniversary, the President paid tributes to past Leaders.
President Muhammadu Buhari, urged Nigerians to change their attitude to public office and public trust and become law-abiding in their homes and in public places including schools, hospitals and market places as well as in motor parks, their offices and on the roads.
