 ECOWAS urges FG to tackle logging, wildlife crimes

Federal Government should employ the services of environmentalists to tackle issues of logging and wildlife crimes.

This is because many citizens depend on tree cutting to earn a living, hence the need for the consultation to tackle the challenges in the country.

Head of Division, Environmental Policies and Regulations of the Economic Community of West African States,ECOWAS, Bougonou Djeri-Alassani, suggested that adequate financial support be given to dependents on those natural assets to encourage and enable them find alternatives to their businesses.
