Cote D’Ivoire will play against former coach Herve Renard after being drawn against Morocco in the group stage of the twenty- seventeen Africa Cup of Nations, Afcon.
Renard led the team to the twenty-fifteen title but will stand in their way in Gabon – just as he also faces Cote D’Ivoire in a twenty- eighteen World Cup qualifying group.
Egypt, Ghana and Uganda have also been drawn together for the Africa Cup of Nations and a World Cup qualifying group.
The hosts appear to have been fortunate in the draw, pitched in Group A alongside Guinea-Bissau, Cameroon and Burkina Faso.
Group A:
Gabon, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Guinea Bissau
Group B:
Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia, Zimbabwe
Group C:
Cote D’Ivoire, DR Congo, Morocco, Togo.
Group D:
Ghana, Mali, Egypt, Uganda
