Gateway refuse to play at ABS FC, NNL now to decide promotion battle.

The Nigeria National League NNL, will now have to take a decision on the team to be promoted from Division B2 after Gateway FC refused to play their final game of the season at ABS FC, citing inadequate security.

Both teams are gunning for promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL, as they are tied on twenty-one points, so too Crown FC.

The general manager ABS FC, Alloy Chukwuemeka said adequate security was provided for the game contrary to the alarm raised by the visiting team.

Meanwhile, Ogun State sports commissioner Afolabi Afuape disagreed, arguing that the result of the game had already been pre-determined and that security was not adequate.

NFF executive committee member Ibrahim Gusau, who represented NFF president Amaju Pinnick said the rules governing the game will be fully applied in this situation.

He stressing that with no reason the match will be replayed.
