Akwa United FC will this week officially present Audu Maikaba to its fans and supporters as they club’s new coach.
The team has resumed pre-season training last Saturday in readiness to fulfill its ambition for a top finish in the twenty-sixteen2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football season.
The club is reported to have retained about seventy percent of its players from last season and all members of the management board were in attendance to show solidarity.
The Club’s chairman, Etubom Paul Bassey, told the players that the season was assumed to have started in earnest as he advised them to take training seriously in order to make impact in the league.
In his response, Coach Maikaba said he is excited to work with Akwa United because of the facilities at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, “The Nest of Champions,” adding that Akwa Ibom has a good working environment.
