Nigeria draw Egypt, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire in AFCON Beach Soccer.


Nigeria have been drawn in Group A to play Ghana, Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire in the twenty-sixteen CAF Beach Soccer Cup of Nations holding between December thirteen to eighteen at the Eko Atlantic City, Lagos State.

The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the tournament, Seyi Akinwunmi assured that the competition will set a mark for other major beach soccer competitions globally.

Akinwunmi, who is the 1st Vice-President of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, said the objective was to ensure that the Nigerian side emerge champions and qualify  automatically for the twenty-seventeen Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas.

According to the NFF top official, said we are committed to hosting the best ever CAF Beach Soccer Championship and putting upa world class event, stressing that with the support of Federal Ministry of Youth and Sport, the NFF, and Lagos State Government.
