A seasoned journalist and FIBA Africa top notch, Segun Ikuesan, has been appointed as the new chairman of Ondo State Basketball Association.

Ikuesan, who had served as a board member of Lagos State Basketball Association for over six years, was inaugurated alongside Ayokanmi Edu, Ishola Akinseinde, Olatunde Farayibi, Shola Aluko, Fisayo Bello, Yele Akinbamowo and Francis Gbiri, who is the association’s patron.

The Executive Chairman of the Sports Council, Comrade Gbenga Jegede, charged the new board of Ondo State Basketball Association, to elevate the standard of basketball in the state and also use their expertise to attract corporate sponsor to organise regular tournaments.

The association’s first assignment, is to ensure a good outing for Ondo Raiders Basketball Club which will feature in the National Division-One Championship slated Abuja National Stadium
