Former Super Falcons Coach, Godwin Izilein, has thanked the Minisetr for Youth and Sports Development,Solomon Dalung, for directing the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to pay his allowances which have been held up since 2004.
According to Izilein, the allowances was when he was in charge of the team to twenty- zero- four African Women Championship in South Africa.
He expressed fears that the money might not be paid as expected as his protest letter on which the minister minuted on directing the NFF to pay him has not been located after one of the NFF secretaries confirmed that the federation was truly owing the coach.
The coach, who claimed that he had suffered since twenty- zero – four after serving the country meritoriously, said efforts to reach the NFF officials had proved abortive as he could no longer reach the federation’s members on telephones
The coaching crew of the Falcons were denied their allowances for allegedly instigating the players to protest the non-payment of their allowances and bonuses.
