Nigeria battered 6-0 by Japan in U20 World Cup clash.

Japan’s Young Nadeshiko hammered Nigeria’s Falconets, six- nil, in Group B’s second match at the Eighth FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea.

Mami Ueno bagged a hat –trick in the encounter while Yuka Momiki scored twice as the twenty- ten and twenty- fourteen silver medallists fell apart at Bava Park in Moresby.

Ueno started with a header in the 32nd minute before Momiki added a second goal three minutes to end the first half two- nil.

In the second half, Momiki made it three- nil while Mary Ologbosere scored an own goal to make it four- nil.

The Japanese girls were not done yet as Ueno scored a fifth before her marvelous sixth, as she waltzed through the Nigerian defence before smashing home.

The result leaves Nigeria’s Falconets with a mountain to climb to reach the knock –out stage, as they face Canada on Wednesday and Spain next Sunday.
