Murray beats Djokovic to end year as No 1.

Britain’s Tennis star, Andy Murray, has silenced any argument about who is the best tennis player on the planet when he subdued his greatest rival on a delirious night at the O2 Arena.

The Scot took the Barclays Association of Tennis Professional, ATP, World Tour Finals title with a two straight win of 6-3, 6-4 victory over Novak Djokovic to register his twenty- fourth victory that capped a late season surge.
Andy Murray,  will now keep the world number one ranking for a matter of months to become the seventeenth tennis player to hold the year-end position since the computer whirred into life in Nineteen Seventy-three.

In a generous speech afterwards, Djokovic acknowledged that Andy was definitely the best player in the world.

Novak Djokovic, admitted that Murray was far better in the final.
