Kwara United retain 22 players ahead of new season.

The management of Kwara United Football Club, has retained twenty- two football players for the next football season.

The team, tutored by former Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh, retained three goalkeepers, five defenders, five midfielders and eight forwards as the squad bid to gain promotion to the elite division next season.

Kwara United finished third behind Gombe United and Dream International Football club of Makurdi, in the Group A two, of Nigeria National League

The club’s chairman, Oladimeji Thompson, the number of players was reduced to ensure adequate coordination, discipline, competitiveness and good welfare package., adding that the team preparation for the new season will begin next Thursday at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.

Thompson stated that the club would try hard to return to the elite division of Nigerian league next season as he charged the players and technical crew to brace for the challenges ahead.
