Lagos Aids control Agency holds walk to mark World Aids day.

As part of events marking this year’s World Aids day, the Lagos State Aids control Agency has held a walk that terminated at the state House of Assembly.

The walk which commenced at Ikeja secretariat, witnessed the participation of the Chairman House Committee on Health Services, Lagos State House of Assembly, Segun Olulade.

Receiving the State Aids control Agency team on behalf of the speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, Chairman house committee on Information, strategy and security ,Tunde Braimoh and his colleague who chairs the women affairs and poverty alleviation committee, Mojisola Lawal-Miranda commended the efforts of the agency in ensuring the well being of citizens of the state especially in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

He promised the continued support of the House on the eradication of HIV/AIDS and other health challenges that might deter the effective performance of the citizens.

Chairman House Committee on Health Services ,Segun Olulade, who solicited the support of his colleagues in the fight against HIV/AIDS, called on all Residents to ensure that they participate in the free HIV/AIDS test, so as to ascertain their status

The world Aids day is held every year on the first of December to create awareness for the deadly virus and theme of this year’s celebration is ”Hands up for HIV prevention”.
