Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Uwuanyi will now reward Nigeria league champions Enugu Rangers with a plots of land and cash gifts after they broke a thirty-two-year trophy-less run in October.
Rangers won the league after their last triumph in nineteen-eighty-four and they will represent Nigeria in next year’s CAF Champions League.
Enugu State sports commissioner Charles Ndukwe confirmed the reward for the players and officials.
However, he could not confirm when the reception will be done since the new league season is expected to begin on December eighteen.
He said if Rangers opening week match is away from home it will difficult for the reception to be done immediately.
Meanwhile, Earlier reports suggested that the reception will be staged between December nineteen and twenty-one.
