NFF: We will pay Falcons, but we don’t have cash now.

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has pledged to pay players and officials of the Nigeria’s Super Falcons all their entitlements for winning the Women Africa Cup of Nations, Awcons, for the eighth time.

Its General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, who met with the players and officials yesterday, said it was disheartening that the federation was yet to pay them their entitlements after making the nation proud at the just concluded Africa Women Cup of Nations, Awcons.

While explaining that the federation has just paid Golden Eaglets players who won the FIFA Under Seventeen World Cup and former coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Samson Siasia, said the NFF would pay their entitlements once the Federal Government made funds available to the federation.

Sanusi, who commended the Minister for Youth, Sports and Social Development, Solomon Dalung, for helping the federation to resolve its financial crisis, said the NFF was yet to pay match bonuses of Nigeria’s Super Eagles after defeating Zambia and Algeria in the Russia Twenty- Eighteen FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
