Senate suspends Magu’s confirmation as EFCC Boss.

The Senate has failed to confirm the Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu as the commission’s chairman.

This was sequel to the failure of Senate to hold the confirmation hearing to consider the request by President Muhammadu Buhari seeking the confirmation of Magu.

It would be recalled that the Letter from the President requesting Magu’s confirmation was read by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on July fourteen, but the Senate did not commence hearing of the request.

Also, the deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, had announced at plenary, that the confirmation hearing would hold today, after five months of delay.
