Super 4: Last-gasp Wikki Tourists beat 10-man IfeanyiUbah, Rangers dump Rivers United 2-0.

Wikki Tourists came from behind to beat 10-man IfeanyiUbah two goals to one yesterday in the first match of the Super Four Tournament at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Goals from Shamah Tanze and Musa Abdullahi for Wikki cancelled out a Yaya Kone goal from the spot for IfeanyiUbah.

The Bauchi side now have three points going into their next match against league champions, Enugu Rangers, tomorrow.

The two teams will represent Nigeria in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup.

Meanwhile, Enugu Rangers defeated Rivers United two goals to nill in the second game of the twenty-sixteen Super four at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu yesterday night.

The Nigeria league champions are now top of the pre-season tournament after Wikki Tourists beat FC IfeanyiUbah two goals to one in the opening match earlier yesterday.

Chisom Egbuchulam fired Rangers ahead in the sixty-four minute from inside the box with the help of Godwin Aguda.

However, Rivers United failed to pull a goal from the penalty spot in seventy-seven minute after Markson Ojobo’s effort was held by Rangers Ghanaian goalkeeper Nana Bonsu.

Rangers were denied a third goal in the eighty-one minute, when Chiemaka Madu’s shot from inside the box crashed against the post.

Soccer action continue tomorrow, Wikki will battle Rangers, while Rivers United take on IfeanyiUbah.
