Nigeria’s Saidu Ayorinde wins 13th Africa Scrabble Championship.

Nigeria Saidu Ayorinde has emerged the thirteenth Africa Scrabble Champion winning twenty-three games of thirty-two in Tema, Ghana.

Ayorinde dethroned his Nigeria counterpart, Nsikakabasi Etim, the immediate past Africa Scrabble Champion, when he finished first in a thirty-two game scrabble marathon to become the best in the duel.

Ayorinde was ranked sixteenth at the twenty-fifteen World Scrabble championship.

Nigeria players, Eta Karo, Umebiye Cyril, Nsikakabasi Etim and Rex Ogbakpa also emerged in the second, third, fourth and fifth positions respectively.

A Kenyan, Gitonga Nberitou, broke Nigerian line up to take the sixth position.
