Footballers shut down Taraba state Govt House.

Players of Taraba FC and Taraba Queens has blocked the main entrance leading into the Taraba Government House in protest over the non payment of twenty-one months salaries.

The club’s assistant captain, Uzih Michael, sad they embark on a peaceful protest since the Taraba State government had ignored their pleas for so long, hence the reason they took the action to draw its attention.

Michael, explained that the team was in the Nigeria Premier League in twenty- fourteen slumped to Pro-League due to hunger as a result of non payment of their salaries by the government.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Sylvanus Giwa said Governor Darius Ishaku had pledged to pay the players before Christmas.
