AWCON win lifts Super Falcons on FIFA rankings.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons is now ranked thirty-five in the latest FIFA rankings released on Sunday for the month of December.

The team, which was ranked thirty-seven in the last FIFA rankings, has moved up two places, as a result of wining this year’s edition of Africa Women Cup of Nations , AWCON, in Cameroon.

The eight time Africa Women Nations Cup winner, retained number one position on the continent, while Black Queens of Ghana which moved a step further to the forty-five position is the continent’s number two.

Cameroon, which is forty-seventh in the world, is placed third in Africa, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa make up the top five in Africa.

Meanwhile, United States of America tops the world rankings, followed by Germany, France, Canada and England.
