The management of Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame, LBHF, has expressed satisfaction over the manner at its programmes have improved the fortunes of Nigeria’s Professional Boxers.
Chairman, LBHF, Wale Edun, who regarded the monthly Saturday Boxing show and Governor’s Beit as LBHF’s as a development of the Youths through Sports, said the scope of the competition had been widened to further exposed Nigerian Boxers to tough boxers in order to become world’s best.
The boxing promoter, said the competition which was a feader to Nigeria’s popular professional boxing Championship tagged Gotv Boxing Night, had been the source of victories for former amateur boxers in the mould of Olaide Fijabi, Otto Joseph, and Rilwan Oladosu, who had a million naira in a professional bout.
He appreciated the effort of Flykite Promotions, Sponsors of Nigeria’s Professional Boxing Championship, Multichoice Nigeria , for creating an enabling environment for a whole lot of Amateur Boxers to join the league of professional players.
He said the priority of Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame was to expose Nigeria Amateur boxers to series of international competition which would help Nigeria’s Amateur pugilist to win commonwealth Boxing Battle.
