As part of effort to create a good and comfortable environment for all inhabitants in Lagos state, the commissioner for Environment, Babatunde Adejare has given a seven- day ultimatum to the residence of Ikotun- Igando, Local Council Development Area, LCDA, to remove refuse in their communities.

Adejare, made the assertion today when he and the Ministry’s monitoring team paid a visit to Ikotun- Igando LCDA following reports from the media.

The Commissioner said Governor Akinwumi Ambode’s administration had been working hard to make the environment conducive for Lagosians and will not tolerate any dirth or uncleaningness in the state.

He said plans were in top gear to provide enough waste containers for inhabitants of the area in order to cart away their waste to a refuse dump site, adding that the move would go a long way in making the area cleaner and healthier for the residents.
