Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode today signed the Twenty Seventeen Golden Jubilee Budget into law just forty one days after he presented it to the House of Assembly on November twenty nine, Twenty Sixteen.
Ambode commended Members of the House of Assembly and the Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa for their forthrightness and speedy consideration and approval of the budget.
The Governor said the goal of the Budget was to consolidate the milestone recorded in the last eighteen months and propel the state to prosperity in line with the four pillars of the state”s development plan.
The Commissioner for Finance, Economic Planning and Budget, Akinyemi Ashade also gave a breakdown of the Golden Jubilee Budget.
Earlier, while presenting the budget on behalf of the Speaker House of Assembly, Chairman House Committee on Appropriation, Rotimi Olowo, commended Governor Ambode for his laudable projects which distinguished him in Nigeria.
