AFCON:Adamu lauds increment in participating teams.

Former CAF Executive Member, Amos Adamu, says the increment of participating teams at the Africa Cup of Nations AFCON, would give room for more countries to have the experience of what the competition was all about.

Adamu said the Confederation of African Football has confirmed that the AFCON will be expanded from sixteen teams to twenty-four from the twenty-nineteen edition.

Meanwhile, CAF announced the decision to move the Nations Cup from January to July as a result of the clash in timing between the tournament and international league.

The changes were made by the CAF executive committee in a meeting in the Moroccan capital Rabat.
