Construction of the ten lane Oshodi Muritala Mohammed International Airport road, which is the gateway into the state, will commence in September 2017.
This was made known by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode at the 2017 third quarterly town hall meeting held at Badore in Lagos.
Ambode says the newly acquired rice mill which will be cited in Imota will create thirty-two thousand direct jobs and two hundred thousand indirect jobs and create a synergy with other south/west states in the area of rice production.
On efforts being made on achieving a cleaner Lagos, Governor Ambode said the newly sworn-in Chairmen in the local governments and local council development areas in the state have been charged to ensure the cleanliness of their environment before the Cleaner Lagos Initiative takes off next month.
Correspondent Ayo Ilori reports that the Governor said he would re-open the adverts in the national dailies for contractors so that the construction of the one hundred and eight-one inner roads across the state can commence by end of September.
