Super Eagles and Changchun Yatai’s striker, Odion Ighalo is set to return to the Super Eagles squad ahead of the clash against Cameroon in the Russia FIFA Twenty- eighteen World Cup qualifiers.
Ighalo, who missed the twenty- nineteen Africa Cup of Nations, AFCONS, qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Uyo, has been in form for Changchun Yatai, scoring six goals in his last five games and eight goals in seventeen appearances.
Apart from Ighalo, former Super Eagles striker, Obafemi Martins, is also being considered
as his name came up in a conversation but there is no concrete evidence that Martins would be invited.
Similarly, Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, who has been out of action for four months, might be also be considered for the crucial match.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will take on the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the Russia Twenty- eighteen FIFA World Cup qualifiers on the first of September, in Uyo.
